Seth Godin springboards from a bank clock to this insight: "The best stories change over time. They change in ways that fascinate the consumer, and more important, they change in ways that are fun or important to talk about." Although Seth doesn't connect his insight to blogging, I have concluded that this is perhaps the first rule of successful blogging. People want new content every time they check in.
