SBA Creates A Center For Faith-Based And Community Services To Help Some Nonprofits

The SBA has created a Center For Faith-Based and Community Services pursuant to President Bush's Faith Based and Community Initiative in order to help nonprofits learn about SBA backed programs and loans. The Center is aimed at helping both faith-based and nonprofit organizations that aid small businesses. President Bush's Faith-Based and Community Initiative is designed to allow faith-based and nonprofits compete of an equal footing for federal dollars.  The hope is that these organizations will reduce community reliance on federal bureaucracies since these organizations will be providing assistance.
